Splice is a music production platform. It's also one of the best funded.
As a result, it has been able to pay out $11 million in royalties to artists within the first nine months go 2020. Here's how they responded to the pandemic.
Along with the first payout, Splice is making an incremental $200,000 in payments to artists that were impacted heavily by COVID shutdowns.
$70,000 of that has already been paid to touring musicians through a partnership with Jammcard, and another $130,000 to musicians using Splice's library sounds. This is great to hear considering how much musicians have been slammed due to the pandemic.
