You may have heard that rap and hip-hop legend Dr. Dre was hospitalized last week after suffering a brain aneurysm. He is currently recovering in ICU as doctors attempt to figure out the cause.
The news shook and stopped the hip-hop world for a while as it was so sudden, especially after we lost so many last year. Brain aneurysm are very serious and often fatal for the victim. And where they aren't fatal, they can reoccur. As such, doctors are keeping him in intensive care until further notice.
We did, however, receive a promising update from Dre himself:
"I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team," he wrote. "I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars."
We extend our well wishes to Dre and his family, and hope for his speedy recovery.
