Hampton Public Library in Hampton, Virgina is putting on this spooky event hosted by Julian Alexander.
The event is a "performance-based lecture" that "provide an alternate context for exploring classic literature through the lens of rap music." Today, they'll be exploring the life of poet Edgar Allan Poe.
And before I start to lose your interest, poetry is actually a very important element to rap music that many artists have utilized. The idea of rhythm and rhyme essentially came from poetry. Maybe consider giving it a chance? It is Halloween, after all.
